The Eco T5 Zone 3 unit (54W - 1170mm) has been added to the range to provide quality lighting at an affordable price, giving everyone access to good UV lighting. This lightweight, single-lamp unit with integrated reflector combines a Reptile Systems HOT5 lamp with a reliable, flicker-free electronic ballast, all in one convenient package. It features a 103° removable reflector that allows for wide light diffusion thanks to its uncoated, highly reflective surface, and offers some of the best possible results for a unit of this type.
Reptile Systems lamps have been designed to replicate the profile of sunlight as closely as possible, to produce a full-spectrum lamp with balanced s of UVA and UVB, while producing excellent natural colors. We recognized the need for good quality UV light, so that reptiles could convert it to D3 through a series of chemical events. This process is self-regulating and is essential for reptiles to absorb calcium from their diet, thus eliminating the risk of metabolic bone disease.
The most modern and enlightened way to determine your reptile's UV requirements is to use the Ferguson Zones. These zones are divided into UV requirements and natural basking characteristics for the species chosen. Locate your pet on the chart, or an animal whose behavior closely resembles your pet's, and you'll see the zone you need.
You'll easily find this information on our packaging to help you make the right choice for you and your pet. Our maps give you the correct distance values for your pilgrimage sites, so you can get the right photographic gradient in your enclosure. Install your lamp 30 cm or more from your basking sites - which is recommended for eye health - and we also indicate minimum safe distances due to the power of our lamps and their use.
The Eco T5 unit comes with a free mounting kit, link cable, straight connectors and mains power cord, offering exceptional value for money while delivering excellent results for those who want performance at an affordable price.
The Eco T5 unit can be daisy-chained or straight-connected to a maximum of ten autres compatible units, making it ideal for keepers with large or multiple enclosures.
The IP50 is suitable for dry vivariums or can be mounted on mesh enclosures with excellent results.
