BR Equitation Sheepskin Saddle Pad

This anatomical cotton halfpad features a wide border of medical-grade sheepskin. The underside of half pad is fully lined in sheepskin and features a groove parallel to the spine to increase spacing. The half pad comes with six neoprene pads corresponding to the six compartments on the top. The 8 mm thick pads slightly elevate the withers and back areas. This means that half pad can be used to stabilize the position of the saddle on horses with low or weak withers, or low or saddle-set backs. The combination of sheepskin and neoprene distributes the weight of the saddle and rider evenly across the horse's back. This significantly reduces the risk of compression on the spine and withers. Medical-grade sheepskins prevent excessive heat build-up and are hygienic, perspiration-proof and antimicrobial. Particularly recommended for horses with sensitive skin. half pad is inserted under all saddles directly onto the horse's skin or between the saddle and the saddle pad. To preserve the natural properties of sheepskin products, we recommend washing at 30°C with a leather detergent.
