The deployment time of the airbag is spectacular: it is effective in only 0123 seconds (to 001 or 002 seconds depending on the atmospheric conditions temperature pressure ...) while the average time between the moment when the rider is unstuck and the contact with the ground in case of fall is about 02 seconds the vest will be deployed well before touching the ground! The vest is connected to the saddle by two straps : the first one is attached to the stirrup knives and has a ring in its middle. The second strap is attached to a compressed air cartridge and is connected to the first strap by a carabiner.
