Description
The hanging cheek bit is a fixed cheek bit that promotes flexion, making this bit particularly useful for horses with a high head carriage. It can also be useful for horses that are unsure of the bit, as mouth movement is limited.
The double-jointed mouthpiece with brass alloy pad distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and mouth bars while promoting salivation and helping the horse to calm and focus. The soft blue iron oxidizes easily, creating a warm feeling and sweet taste in the horse's mouth, helping him accept the bit. Please note that the blue color will fade with use, which is normal.

Blue Sweet Iron Bits...
Blue Sweet iron bits oxidize easily, creating a warm, sweet taste in the horse's mouth, causing him to salivate. Some horses often prefer the warm feeling of soft iron over stainless steel which is naturally cooler. This makes soft iron bits ideal for sensitive horses or horses that need to be encouraged to put the bit in their mouth and accept it.

Care Instructions
To promote good hygiene and protect the longevity of your horse bit, we recommend the following care regimen after each use.
1. Rinse your bit after each use under a faucet to remove any saliva or debris on the surface.
2. Use a sponge or soft cloth to wipe off any excess debris on the bit, paying particular attention to the joints and hinges.
3. Allow to dry naturally.
