The second rein acts with a slight leverage on the lower jaw branches. This bit exerts even pressure on the lower jaw and is generally well accepted by horses. It allows for a "loosening" of the jaw chain for a greater range of motion. The pressure can be increased as needed. This bit is ideal for strong horses that push forward.

The Tongue Port Snaffle provides ample room for the horse's tongue due to the flat port area. Many horses respond by relaxing and chewing more. This makes the snaffle perfect for horses that cannot tolerate pressure on the tongue and for horses that tend to pull their tongue around the bit.
