The majority of lameness that reduces the horse's use can be prevented with proper foot care and reasonable maintenance. The horse's feet should be cared for on a daily basis in the same manner as the feed and water supply. Foot care should include: daily cleaning, periodic trimming, correction of minor imperfections and treatment of foot diseases and injuries. Moisturizing the horse's foot helps to keep it supple and prevents cracking of the hoof. To ensure normal hydration of the foot, an ointment can be applied regularly to the hoof. We offer a range of ointments and foot greases based on laurel, tar as well as specific products such as Rock Hardou le hoof solution by Kevin Bacon for horses with rotten forks or transparent or black varnish to perfect the look of your horse during shows.
