Saddle stirrups

The Vector stirrups are a new generation of stirrups - technically advanced and lightweight while maintaining the classic style expected from LeMieux. Machined from aerospace-grade aluminium, they offer an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making them lighter than most stirrups on the market at just 419g each, without compromising stability. The ergonomic control stirrup platform is angled at 0° with a cross grip surface and integrated hardened steel pins to provide maximum safety for the boot. The platform is supported by a dual-balance arch system that evenly distributes weight on the base of the stirrup frame. The apex of the frame is recessed and offset, encouraging an external orientation of 45°, making it easier for the rider to find the optimal angle for the foot and recover a lost stirrup. An integrated articulated arm features a two-level release system, preventing accidental opening. The spring arm locks into the base of the main frame, meaning that when under maximum pressure, such as when landing on a fence, the rider's weight is evenly distributed over the stirrup, preventing the outer side from dropping and flexing. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, it releases, allowing the foot to exit the stirrup, thereby minimising the risk of dragging. The release force of the stirrup arm = 36N (equivalent to 3.62kg) during testing, providing enough resistance to prevent unintentional opening but will release when necessary. It’s important to note that no stirrup of this design (with a quick release arm) is guaranteed to open 100% in case of a fall. There are several factors, including a fall from the horse, a loose girth causing the saddle to slip, or a slow or unusual exit angle that may not generate enough lateral force to open the release arm. This is very rare, but users should be aware that no stirrup is completely safe from all eventualities. Legal for competition (FEI, British Dressage, British Eventing, and British Showjumping).
