Composed riding stirrups Vector

The Vector stirrups represent a new generation of stirrups: technically advanced and lightweight, while maintaining the classic style expected from LeMieux. Made from aerospace-grade aluminium, they offer an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making them lighter than most stirrups on the market at only 419 g each, without compromising stability. The ergonomic footrest of the offset stirrup is set at 5°, with a crosswise grip surface featuring integrated hardened steel pins to provide lower leg stability while keeping heels down. The footrest is supported by a dual arch balance system that evenly distributes weight across the base of the stirrup frame. The top of the frame is recessed and offset, promoting an outward orientation of 45°, allowing the rider to find the optimal angle for their foot and to retrieve the stirrup when it’s lost. The integrated articulated arm features a two-stage release system to prevent any accidental opening. The spring-loaded arm locks at the base of the main frame, meaning that under maximum pressure, such as during a landing after a jump, the rider's weight is evenly distributed across the stirrup, preventing the outside from dropping and flexing. When pressure is applied to the arm of the stirrup, it opens and releases the foot from the stirrup, reducing the risk of being dragged. The break force of the stirrup arm has been tested at 36 N (equivalent to 3.62 kg). This demonstrates sufficient resistance to prevent accidental opening, but allows for quick release if needed. It is important to note that for a stirrup of this design (with a quick-release arm), opening is not guaranteed 100% in the event of a fall. There are several factors, such as the horse falling, a loose girth slipping the saddle, and a slow or unusual exit angle not generating enough lateral force to open the arm.
