Composed riding stirrups Vector

The Vector stirrups represent a new generation of stirrups: technically advanced and lightweight, while maintaining the classic style expected from LeMieux. Made from aircraft-grade aluminium, they offer an impressive weight-to-strength ratio, making them lighter than most stirrups on the market at only 419 g each, without compromising stability. The ergonomic footbed of the offset stirrup is set at 5°, with a transverse grip surface featuring integrated hardened steel pins to enhance stability in the lower leg, while keeping the heels down. The footbed is supported by a dual arch balance system that evenly distributes weight across the base of the stirrup frame. The top of the frame is recessed and offset, promoting an outward orientation of 45°, allowing the rider to find the optimal angle for their foot and to locate the stirrup when it’s lost. The integrated hinged arm features a two-step release system, preventing any accidental opening. The spring-loaded arm locks at the base of the main frame, meaning that under maximum pressure, such as when landing after a jump, the rider's weight is evenly distributed across the stirrup, preventing the outside from dropping and flexing. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, it opens and releases the foot from the stirrup, reducing the risk of being dragged. The breaking force of the stirrup arm has been tested at 36 N (equivalent to 3.62 kg). This demonstrates sufficient strength to prevent accidental opening, but also quick release when needed. It is important to note that for a stirrup of this design (with a quick-opening arm), opening is not guaranteed 100% in case of a fall. Several factors can contribute, such as the horse falling, a loose girth sliding the saddle, and a slow or unusual exit angle not generating enough lateral force to open the arm.
