PhosGuard rapidly removes phosphate and silicate from marine and freshwater aquariums. Although PhosGuard is effective in both fresh and salt water, it works best in salt water. It is not recommended for freshwater with a phosphate-based buffer (PhosGuard will strip the buffer to saturation).
