The use of high-quality Nubuck cowhide leather gives the EDIX® Tequiro treeless western saddle a more robust appearance than its smaller brother, the EDIX® Tiamo. EDIX® Tequiro is a very strong and comfortable treeless saddle, equipped with a highly respected type of girth. The girth connection of the EDIX® Tequiro western saddle is derived from the technique developed by George B. Mc Clellan in 1855. The triangular connection allows the girth force to interact over a larger area of the saddle, as the connections are attached to the front and rear of the saddle, rather than in the middle. What's more, the position of the strap itself can be adjusted forwards or backwards. In this way, only the weight resulting from the rider's interaction will be in the center.
The complete EDIX® Tequiro combination consists of a two-part superstructure in high-quality Nubuck cowhide and a profiled felt saddle pad with 3 mesh inlays.
Adjustable leather guard rails with a Blevin slide buckle and leather-covered stirrups complete the EDIX® Tequiro. These stirrups are available in short, normal and long versions.
A typical treeless saddle for the rider who wants to enjoy long, relaxed rides. Combined with an EDIX® seat cover in Australian Merino® sheepskin for an even more comfortable experience.
An EDIX® treeless saddle offers your horse optimum protection against the load exerted by riding, thanks to the special construction of divers soft, flexible pressure-distributing materials: EDIX® MPDS, Multiple Pressure Distribution System (see drawing). At the same time, these soft, flexible layers adapt perfectly to the horse's anatomy and the rider's posture. An EDIX® treeless saddle reacts optimally to the horse's movements. This is one of the reasons why the rider learns to adapt perfectly to the horse's movements and develops an independent posture. In this way, the movements of horse and rider become one, creating excellent communication. As the horse moves much more freely, it has the opportunity to develop optimally, often resulting in an increase in muscle mass. As a result of the above, and after the period of habituation, both horse and rider are more relaxed in all aspects of riding.
The pommel is interchangeable, making it suitable for both high and low withers. The pommel is made of fiberglass and the cantle of high-density foam. They connect the left and right sides of the saddle and, together, ensure saddle stability and seating comfort for the rider.
By replacing one of the foam layers in the specific structure EDIX® MPDS, with a 14 mm felt, the Tequiro has its own individual structure and is therefore perfectly suited to heavier cavaliers.
The complete EDIX® Tequiro treeless western saddle features a matching felt saddle pad with 3 mesh inlays. A layer of neoprene has been applied to the top of the Tequiro pad, to the left and right of the spine, where the inner pockets are located. In addition to distributing pressure, this neoprene layer provides an anti-slip effect towards the saddle. The abrasive part of the Tequiro pad is reinforced with suede leather. Thanks to its specific shape and the materials used, the Tequiro saddle pad has a very refined appearance. If you prefer a more western-style saddle pad, you can choose another saddle pad from the EDIX® universal range of western saddle pads. You can choose a felt or quilted foam saddle pad, with the underside covered in synthetic wool or Australian Merino® sheepskin. Each of these pads offers free space for the spine and features pockets that can be closed with Velcro, and to which pressure and position distribution material can be added. The Tequiro can be combined with EDIX® saddlebags and breastplate, for which different rings have been installed. The FRA® strap is optional, and its 100% elasticity ensures a secure fit.
Inlays are subject to wear and tear depending on the intensity of use, and should be checked from time to time for residual strength. These inlay sets are available separately.
