The OneK MIPS CCS helmet features a matte polycarbonate outer shell and advanced ABS composite; injection-moulded shell design; washable quick-dry lining that wicks away moisture; stainless steel mesh; padded harness for comfort with synthetic suede lining, hook and loop adjustment, and Fastex buckle; two front vents, one at the back, and two on the central band. MIPS: Founded in 1996 by a surgeon and a researcher from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, the Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) is designed to add protection against rotational movements transmitted to the brain from angular impacts to the head. Rotational motion is a combination of rotational energy and forces from angular acceleration, both of which increase the risk of brain injuries.
