Description
Also known at nom as the continental bit, it works by lifting the bit into the horse's mouth in the same way as a traditional gag, but without the same severity. Reins can be attached to either the snaffle ring or the lower ring to increase pressure and leverage. You can also use two reins or rounds attached to a single rein with this bit to maintain correct contact on the snaffle ring without pressure on the nape of the neck when necessary.
An anatomical copper pad in the center of the bit distributes pressure over the tongue and mouth bars, encouraging bite and contact. Copper is a warm metal that encourages the horse to salivate and bite the bit. Ideal for horses that need extra braking power when jumping or doing work rapide.

Stainless steel horse bits...
Stainless steel is the most commonly used material for horse bits because it is durable, easy to clean and does not rust. Some of our stainless steel bits feature copper mouthpieces that help create a warm feeling and encourage the horse to salivate and accept the bit. Stainless steel bits are suitable for a wide range of horses and are available in many models so you can choose the bit that's right for your horse and your discipline.
Pair your two-ring gag and copper diamond bit with one of our anatomical bridles.
For health and hygiene reasons, this bit cannot be returned if removed from the model.
