Elastic Martingales Privilège Equitation
Elastic martingale
The ring martingale is a rein made of 2 straps: one strap is fixed on one side to the girth and on the other side it separates into 2 parts with rings that will slide into the reins. The second strap is a collar that will go around the neck to keep the reins in place. It is necessary to avoid an adjustment too court which could hinder the movements of the horse's neck.
The ring martingale is not intended to lower the horse's head, but to prevent him from giving headbutts.
