The cavesson is halfway between the halter and the snaffle: it was created especially for lunging work. Its relatively thick noseband provides better control for the longeur and more comfort for the horse. The absence of a bit allows to preserve the horse's mouth. The lanyard is longer than the classic tethering lanyard, it measures about 9 meters. This length allows the horse to work on larger circles, and thus to preserve its hocks and joints.
