The perfect blanket for horses with eczema, summer dermatitis or very sensitive skin. This eczema blanket is designed to protect your horse from annoying flies and insects, and to prevent rubbing. To give your horse the best possible protection, this blanket features a neck guard that reaches right up to the ears.
When horses with eczema or summer dermatitis sweat a lot, their condition can worsen. The horse may suffer from increased itching and bacterial and fungal proliferation, leading to secondary infections and slowing down the healing process. That's why it's important to note that the Eczema blanket with hood is made from a drying material rapide which ensures that your horse doesn't sweat under the blanket.
Fabrics and materials
The fabric is hard-wearing, breathable and highly flexible to provide your horse with the best possible comfort. Thanks to its light color, the blanket reflects the sun's rays and does not absorb heat.
Shape and size
This blanket has an extra-long collar that is attached above the ears, meaning your horse's neck is fully protected too. The neckline can be closed with 5 hook-and-loop fasteners.
To protect the belly area, the rug features a ventral flap. This flap closes with 3 straight surcingles. The tail flap is a little longer than usual and features an elastic tail band.
The Eczema blanket with hood is available in sizes 125 to 165 cm.
Care instructions
Machine washable
Most of our products are machine-washable at 30 degrees. We recommend washing as infrequently as possible, however, and using our protective wash bags to maintain long-term quality. We also recommend using professional washing machines (larger capacity) to limit damage caused by the washing machine drum. To dry the product, simply place it in the open air on a sunny day. Dryers are not recommended.
