Description
When horses are working hard or in hot weather, they regulate their body temperature by sweating. This not only results in the loss of fluids through evaporation, but also of essential body salts, especially sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Failure to replace these body salts (called electrolytes) can lead to fatigue and, in extreme cases, damage to muscle, bone and cartilage. Electro Salts is a concentrated formula of essential plasma salts combined with dextrose to promote better absorption. Electro Salts should be administered after exercise, heavy sweating or during periods of very hot weather. ElectroSalts can be easily mixed into the ration or dissolved in water. Make sure that fresh, clean water is available at all times.
