Description

Bitless bridles for horses Edix Saddles ED2-Grace

A beautiful EDIX ED2 side-pull bitless bridle, anatomically designed, made from Argentinian leather.

The special headpiece ensures no pressure on the ears. The trotter strap is positioned so that the side bars stay away from the eyes. The headpiece and noseband are lightly padded and oval-shaped for added comfort. The headpiece is adjustable with buckles.
EDIX ED2 is a side-pull bridle, where both reins are attached to rings on either side of the horse's muzzle. The bridle works with a direct release of any pressure exerted by the rider through the reins. When you pull on both reins or, more finely, when you exert light pressure with both hands on the reins, this pressure is exerted on the horse's nose. When you release this pressure on the reins, the pressure immediately disappears from the horse's nose, a so-called direct release. This is a very clear signal and most horses, young horses but also horses used to the bit, do very well with a side-pull bridle. By pulling on the right rein, the bridle pulls slightly away from the cheek and the opposite side, the left side of the bridle, pushes against the left cheek, which, combined with your sitting aids, allows your horse to lean in the desired direction. The noseband is wide and softly padded, so the impact on your horse's nose is limited and gentle.
At EDIX, we advise you to have your horse's bridle without a browband! It's not necessary to have a browband for the bridle to remain stable on your horse and by having a bridle without a browband, you ensure that there's no pressure behind the ears and on the occipital bone.
We also believe that less is more and how nice it is to see more of your horse's face without a browband?
The side pull fits like a normal bridle. The noseband of the bridle should be about four fingers from the top of your horse's mouth. It should be high enough not to rest on the cartilage of the nose or on the tip of the nose bones themselves. The higher the chin strap, the gentler the action. The chin strap should be raised, but make sure that the horse can still open his mouth comfortably, without being too loose, otherwise the bridle will start to hang down and your cues won't be clear.
EDIX Grace ED2 side-pull bridles are available in 2 colors and 5 sizes and come with matching reins. If you prefer a different length or type of reins, please let us know when you place your order. Reins are available in leather, leather with anti-slip or split leather, all fitted with a clip.
If your horse has a different head shape and you find it difficult to adapt it to the standard sizes, let us know and we can change the parts forautres sizes, at no extra charge!
