Description

Single jaw 3 effects in rubber Premier Equine

The Bevel bit is a modified loose ring snaffle that allows the rider to apply an intermediate degree of leverage and can also help promote correct silhouette. The durable, single-jointed rubber mouthpiece provides a higher level of comfort in the horse's mouth while applying pressure to the bars, lips and sides of the tongue. Similar to a three-ring or Dutch gag, but with less leverage, making it an ideal bit for horses that need more braking power than a normal snaffle. The rubber mouthpiece makes the bit warmer and therefore more easily accepted by sensitive horses.

Measurements
According to our size guide, the A and B measurements of this bit are as follows:
4.5" & 5" - A=15mm & B=55mm
5.5" - A=15mm & B=65mm

Rubber horse bits...
Rubber coated bits generally have thicker mouthpieces, making them softer and ideal for horses with sensitive mouths or those who don't like metal bits. Our rubber bits have been heat treated to make them softer to the touch and more durable. Due to their thicker mouthpiece, they may not be suitable for horses with small mouths or large tongues.

Pair your bit with one of our anatomical bridles.

For health and hygiene reasons, this bit cannot be returned if removed from the model.

Technical details

  • Free ring bit with fixed rein positions
  • Durable rubber mouthpiece with single joint
  • Two leverage options - attach reins to the middle ring for a smooth action or to the point fixed bottom for more leverage
  • The bit rings are wider on the 5" and 5.5" models to keep the bit proportionate to the horse's head.
  • This bit is not authorized by the BD
  • Bit strength: Intermediate

Care Instructions

To promote good hygiene and protect the longevity of your horse bit, we recommend the following maintenance regimen after each use.

1. Rinse your bit after each use under a faucet to remove any saliva or debris on the surface.

2. Use a sponge or soft cloth to wipe off any excess debris on the bit, paying particular attention to the joints and hinges.
