Description
Full cheek bits are useful for green horses or young horses, as they can help them with direction. The branches of the bit create a positive action on the horse's cheeks when asked to turn. The full cheek design also prevents the bit from being dragged into the horse's mouth. This bit can be used with bails on the bridle to help keep the cheeks vertical. The double-jointed mouthpiece with copper pad distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars of the mouth, while reducing the nutcracker effect of a single-jointed bit. Copper is a hot metal that encourages the horse to salivate and bite the bit.
The fixed cheeks of this bit offer greater stability on the reins and are suitable for horses that are unsure of the bit because they create less movement. Made of stainless steel, the most commonly used material for horse bits, it is durable, easy to clean, tasteless and will not rust. Ideal for young or green horses and most equestrian disciplines.

Care instructions

1. Rinse your bit after each use under a faucet to remove any saliva or debris from the surface.
2. Use a sponge or soft cloth to wipe any excess debris from the bit, paying particular attention to the joints and hinges.
3. Allow to dry naturally.
