The more salivation, the better the bit glides in the mouth, which means more comfort for your horse. The anatomical shape of the mouthpiece adapts even more perfectly to the anatomy of the horse's mouth when it is wet. Our leather mouthpiece is particularly suitable for young horses and very sensitive horses that do not like other materials. Even horses that generally dislike bits in their mouths often accept this material and can relearn to trust the hand of a gentle rider. Our mouthpieces are vegetable tanned and hand sewn. Please note our care instructions: Before first use, please soak the mouthpiece in cooking oil. If the leather feels dry, please repeat the process. Before each use, please soak the mouthpiece briefly in cold water and rinse it after use as saliva can erode the leather quickly.
