The second rein acts with a slight leverage on the lower jaw branches. This bit exerts even pressure on the lower jaw and is generally well accepted by horses. It allows for a "loosening" of the jaw chain for a greater range of motion. Pressure can be increased as needed. This bit is ideal for strong horses that push forward.
This anatomically correct bit also rests on the tongue and bars and provides more room and mobility for the tongue. With this bit, the driven rein will apply equal pressure on the tongue and bars. Lateral compression of the tongue and bars will not occur. Pinching of the lips is also impossible with this bit. Due to its shape, the Comfort Bar is very stable in the horse's mouth. Mouth bits are considered to be quite soft. This bit made of our plastic compound beris will allow the rider to communicate with his horse in a softer and more delicate way.
