Description

Horse saddle for cso leather Premier Equine Chamonix Close Contact

Made of premium German aniline leather, this contact saddle offers optimal performance for the jumping rider. The leather flap features dynamic styling lines that add a textural dimension to this jumping saddle.

The close contact saddle design includes a forward cut knee roll that aids in correct leg positioning and the specially designed square cantle aids and supports the rider's natural action over the obstacles.

The copolymer tree construction is extremely lightweight and has excellent crack resistance properties that allow the tree to flex so minimally that it will not crack under stress, while providing ideal support to the saddle. Polished leather webbing straps offer custom girth options for comfort and our synthetic fiber wool provides a balanced pressure distribution system.

Ratcheting safety stirrups make it quick and easy to put on and take off your stirrup leathers, then are neatly covered by a stylish leather skirt. D-rings in the front accentuate the saddle and allow for the application of training aids and martingales.

Finishing touches include our metal badges and embroidered PE logo.

We offer an affordable solution with a high level of anatomical expertise in the development of our innovative range of discipline specific saddles with customizable fit options. For an ideal fit, we recommend purchasing the PE Gusset Gauge which will provide you with a guide to the best PE gusset size to use in your Premier Equine saddle.

We understand that various factors can affect your horse, such as health, fitness, exercise regime, age and condition. These factors can contribute to changes in your horse's shape, which means you may need to re-evaluate your saddle fit. Our interchangeable PE eyelet system makes it quick and easy to customize the saddle fit, without the added cost of a new saddle.

Care instructions

Using your saddle for the first time:

Premier Equine has performed all necessary treatments before delivering your saddle, so you can use it as soon as you receive it. However, for optimum softness and protection, we recommend applying a good quality leather conditioning balm and leaving it on for 24 hours to allow for complete absorption, out of direct sunlight. Polish with a soft cloth to remove excess.

Be aware of the risk of staining white clothing, especially during the first few uses.

Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat. Clean your saddle regularly and apply a good quality saddle care balm to maintain the suppleness and color of the leather.

Keep your saddle on a saddle hook/support that provides even pressure.

Daily Care:

  1. Remove dirt and debris from the surface and straps by wiping your saddle with a soft, damp cloth after each use.
  2. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove any excess moisture.
  3. Allow the saddle to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat.
  4. Once dry, apply a high quality leather balm. Be careful not to over saturate the leather, especially the saddle girths*.
  5. Allow the saddle to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat.
  6. Once dry, apply your saddle cover to protect it.

If your saddle has been in contact with water, let it dry naturally away from direct sunlight and heat. Once dry, apply a high quality leather balm and store your saddle in a dry place.

  • Do not place dirty accessories on top of the saddle.
  • Do not clean the saddle with products containing solvents or glycerine soap, as these substances will damage the integrity of the saddle.
  • Do not treat/grease a saddle that has not been previously cleaned as this may allow dirt to penetrate the leather and damage it.
  • Note: During the summer months, you may need to increase the frequency of treatment of your leather saddle as the sun and high temperatures can dehydrate the leather.
  • *Warning: Over-saturation of leather and leather straps can cause over-absorption which can deteriorate the leather. Do not oversaturate your saddle and girths.

For optimum performance and longevity: apply a high quality leather conditioning balm at least twice a month to maintain leather suppleness.
